چکیده
Abstract Objective This study was aimed to establish the descriptive statistical values of cVEMPs’s responses which are evoked by air and bone conducted stimuli examine effects occlusion on (BC) cVEMPs test. Methods The carried out 20 individuals ( n = 40 ears), 11 women 9 men, at Medipol Mega University Hospital. tests were applied in five stages who volunteer participate this study. Firstly, (AC) test applied. Then, BC four different conditions with aim examining effect. Results Latency AC response 15.17 ± 0.77 ms for P1 24.12 1.38 N1 8.95 1.12 interpeak latencies. P1N1 amplitude value 149.73 75.00 μV. VEMPs asymmetry ratio (VAR) 0.16 0.16. measurements 14.38 0.85 23.40 1.50 9.05 1.57 107.58 54.08 VAR 0.15 0.12. Both parameters demonstrated that there not any significant differences between female-male left ear-right ear. When compared, mean latencies significantly shorter than those p < 0.01). amplitudes larger impact effect examined, no significance found. Conclusion As a result, it thought cVEMPs, is widely used clinics, might be vestibular assessment conductive hearing losses (CHL) obtaining In addition, as an auxiliary diagnose patients hyperacusis disturbed loud noises.

Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs) evoked by air- and bone-conducted stimuli in vestibular neuritis
OBJECTIVE To compare and characterise abnormalities for short latency vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs) elicited by air- (AC) and two differing types of bone-conducted (BC) stimuli during vestibular neuritis (VN). METHODS AC (500Hz short tone bursts) and two BC stimuli (500Hz at the forehead and impulses at the mastoids) were used to evoke cervical and ocular potentials (cVEMPs an...

OBJECTIVE To determine the amplitude changes of vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs) recorded simultaneously from the neck (cVEMPs) and eyes (oVEMPs) in response to 500 Hz, 2 ms air-conducted sound pips over a 30 dB range. METHODS Fifteen healthy volunteers (mean age 29, range 18-57 years old) and one patient with unilateral superior canal dehiscence (SCD) were studied. The stimulus ...
متن کاملCervical and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials in multiple sclerosis participants
Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological disease that affects brain and spinal cord. The infratentorial region contains the cerebellum and brainstem. Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs) are short-latency myogenic responses. Cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potential (cVEMP) is a manifestation of vestibulocolic reflex and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic pote...

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune systemic disease. Most common autoimmune diseases are multisystem disorders that may also present with otological manifestations, and autoimmune inner ear disease accompanied by vestibular dysfunction. This study aimed to compare the vestibular function between RA patients and normal subjects using cervical vestibular evoked myogenic...
متن کاملEffect of Noisy Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation on Ocular Vestibular-Evoked Myogenic Potentials to Bone-Conducted Vibration
OBJECTIVE Galvanic vestibular stimulation (GVS) delivered as zero-mean current noise (noisy GVS) has been shown to improve static and dynamic postural stability probably by enhancing vestibular information. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of an imperceptible level noisy GVS on ocular vestibular-evoked myogenic potentials (oVEMPs) in response to bone-conducted vibration (BCV)...
